Angie Jones of Twitter – the present and future of innovation

TechChill visiting Twitter HQ

Angie Jones, the Senior Software Engineer at Twitter, is about to join us at TechChill to speak about how to keep the momentum of fast delivery while also embracing the quality initiatives.

“Innovation comes naturally for me. As I explore the products that I work on or use in everyday life, I envision ways to enhance them,” adds Angie.

Her enthusiasm and take on the product engineering and software testing has brought opportunities to give keynotes across the world, but the mentoring to the young women and exposing them to technology is something Angie puts as a priority of hers, “I created an online community, Diva Chix, where teenage girls and women learn to excel in technological areas as well as learn other key life lessons such as running a business and working as a team, all within the realm of a game.” Other organizations Angie volunteers with include TechGirlz and Black Girls Code to fill the pipeline with needed future computer programming professionals and make sure all talents have a chance to be discovered and developed. Angie’s contribution to the future innovator and tech professional community is very much related to the rapid explosion of IoT and AI and the growing complexity of the testing coming along with it.

Angie Jones is a Senior Software engineer in Test at Twitter, the world’s leading microblogging platform, where she works on critical automation tasks and helps to drive automation efforts related to revenue. Before joining Twitter earlier in 2017, Angie has built up her experience by working as Software Engineer and Master Inventor at IBM and as Automation Engineer at LexisNexis, just to name a couple. Her highly technical software programming and testing skills have led to 25 patented innovations thus far, issued by the government.
