Following the previous year’s success, Fifty Founders battle – the startup pitch competition showcasing 50 most promising and inspiring startups from the Baltics, Nordics and beyond – is back and this year we’ve partnered up with Silicon Vikings to give you more opportunities to make your mark on the startup world. At this year’s pitch battle, startups will not only get a chance to compete for the main prize of 10 000 EUR but also for the opportunity to get fast-tracked to Startup World Cup Finals in San Francisco in May 2019.
Each startup will go through a rigorous selection process where dedicated juries will review their applications and make selections based on the industry verticals: Fintech, SaaS, IoT & Hardware, Deeptech & Impact. Ten startups per vertical will be chosen to compete at the semifinals, making a grand total of fifty startups.
Semifinals and Finals will be held at TechChill 2019, where on day one- February 21, selected startups will deliver a 3 min pitch on the Founders stage followed by a Q&A from the jury. Five startups will be then chosen to pitch on Superhero stage on day two, one of which will be announced as the winner of the 10 000 EUR prize.
Previous winners include Baltic success stories such as Infogr.am, Edurio, Nordigen, SprayPrinter and Anatomy Next to name a few. Sandis Kondrats, Co-founder & CEO of Anatomy Next adds:
“From the application process to pitching on the stage, the Fifty Founders battle played a major role in making us clarify our value proposition during the fundraising process. Winning the battle not only added 10’000 EUR to our cash flow but also to the business development by offering a great publicity in international media already from the announcement of the 50 selected founders.”
